The Honeymoon (Final -6/6 continued)

We stopped by Omotesandō, which reminded me alot of Orchard Road. You will reach this area towards the end of Harajuku. It’s where you can find the more expensive shopping! Here you can see how huge the Polo Ralph is! This is home to all the various flagship stores… not really on our agenda this trip so we only made a few rounds, then turned back to Harajuku!

After Harajukku, we also visited Meiji Jingu (Meiji Shrine), one of our intended stops, which was around the corner. Thinking that it was so near, we were walking in happily and snapping photos…

We walked, and walked, and walked, and walked! It was a DAMN long walk just to get into the temple!!! And the path was just small stones and it’s a little tiring to walk on those. Finally, after 15 mins of walk, we officially went into the temple, but there was announcement that it was closely! OMG… I think it was around 5 pm when we reach and it was closing in 15mins time or something. And so, we quickly explored the temple…

=)

The beautiful display of lanterns.

The cute station. A pity, we only had time to visit Harajuku once throughout our whole trip! I was hoping we had a bit of extra time to visit the 7 storey daiso again.

Miss it!!

When night fell, we moved on to Shibuya.

What a crazy happening place it is and super duper packed! We read before our trip, that it’s like ‘City Hall’ in Singapore… and the Hachiko statue is a popular landmark and meeting point for the Japanese! Shibuya is also one of Tokyo’s busiest railway stations.

ZQ in the people mountain, people sea. Haha!

This picture is comparable to the one I took of him in HKG, but I prefer the other one, which has more ‘MTV’ feel!

2008. Hehe.

茫茫人海中的我们

We stopped by at Shibuya 109, home to the girls of the popular ‘Gyaru’ fashion (think, long blonde hair, pale lips, atrociously large dolly eyes, tanned skin…) and here you see ZQ with a non-gyaru.. haha, she’s just a promoter for the Panasonic hair curler.

<3

And then, it’s dinner time again! We landed at another of those 100yen 回転寿司 shops. I noticed that we are really ‘confused’ in Singapore, where we have so many different types of fillings for sushi. In Japan, you will mostly only see the simple salmon and tuna cuts and hardly any ‘mayo-ed’ stuff! I guess the focus here for sushi is FRESHNESS!

Hungry for rrraaawws!

This picure is enough to kill me. A heavenly thick slice of tamago.

Maguro!

Not forgetting, fresh salmon sushi.

Every sushi meal, though a norm and simple fare for most locals, is a delicious and memorable feast for me and ZQ.

After dinner, we took a leisure walk around, and saw many crazy miscellaneous stores. This one caught our attention. They had so many cute pyjamas!

A grown-up ‘Piglet’ promoter. BTW, I was holding the cute foil balloons the Panasonic girl gave me!

And do you think this shop just sells pyjamas and some stuffed toys? You’re wrong. When we went in, they had everything from edible to usable to playable and displayable!!! Here, ZQ checks out some Gundam plastic kits they have. This shop also has food stuff and cosmetics! It’s like Daiso + WWatsons + Dept store. I just can’t describe man.

When we walked out, we were greeted by this Wolverine wannabe who said bye to us. Hehe.

Walked on, and saw L’Occitane Cafe!!! I was squealing in mad excitement!!! But we were too full from dinner to go there straight, so ZQ promised that we would detour after an hour or two!

Pretty blossoms!! Not fake mind you!! But in that sort of weather, you can easily grow the prettiest of flowers!!

Quaint shops everywhere…

And an awesome looking GAP!

We saw another toy shop, and I could not resist the Rilas inside!!!! So cuddly!!

softies. I really applaud the creator’s ability of making Rila SO CUTE. It’s like the innocent kind of cute, even if they do something wrongly you won’t be mad at them kind.

In their famous bunny suits.

Guess what???

Freaken Macaron cushions!!!!!!!!

Super cute and fluffy! I was so TU LAN that I really had no more room for soft toys… but I now I regret not buying it anyway after the disaster in Japan… I should have just bought it and hand carried or something (but honestly, our hands were already BEYOND full on our day of departure).

Cute dotted monkies. Hehe!

Another shiok F21!

Finally! A three storey L’Occitane building (1st floor – normal shop, 2nd & 3rd – cafe)

Sweet and cosy ambience =) for the two of us.

Ordered a very rich and delicious cheese tart, and an iced coffee!!!

Back in the hotel room!!! My ‘monkies’ of the day! Cute right!

The Milky drinks bought from Daiso earlier that day. Choco was from the hot vending (really HOT, I almost got burnt!!) and Peach was from the cold vending!!!

Porky and me. Very tired after a whole day of walking. Note – we didn’t take cab at all in Japan!! Heard that it’s very ex so didn’t dare to try at all, though they looked very tempting!!!

Cutest Ketchup snack ever~~
